Ballaw de Quincewold was a male hare and the co-founder of The Rambling Rosehip Players with Rowanoak. He was also a leader of the Fur and Freedom Fighters along with Felldoh, and the ancestor of Florian Dugglewoof Wilffachop.

He met Brome and Felldoh after they escaped Fort Marshank, and quickly took a liking to them. He used the the name "Tibbar" (the word rabbit backwards) to disguise himself. It was mostly his magic tricks that distracted the guards and helped some of the slaves escape from Marshank, and it was his javelin-throwing invention that helped save Celandine from the crew of Captain Tramun Clogg. Ballaw helped fight in the Battle of Marshank. After the battle, he decided to live in Noonvale.
