Vigilantes of Mossflower
If cold air were an object, it would be a sword. Hard, unforgiving, and piercing everything it touched. Loveless, remorseless, unfeeling, freezing, and sometimes ending the lives of living things. If snow were a creature, it would be the warrior. The warrior whose weapon is cold air. The cold is its livelihood, its sustainer, its purpose. Without it, snow would be killed by its enemy, warmth.
But, at this very moment, the snow had another enemy. Snow was being crushed underpaw by a traveler. This mouse was a warrior, just like the cold snow, except this warrior had a conscience as well as a sword.
The wayfarer paused in his steps to take in the lay of the land. the cold wind got a better look at him as he stood still. Stormy grey eyes reflec…
Mossflower: A Rewrite
Prologue
-
Trapped. Trapped in a cold airless world.
Water. Tsarmina hated it. It obscured her vision, clogged her ears, stifled her breathing, and muffled her screams for help.
And pain. Pain from the long fur at the back of her neck being clutched in a grip of iron as her head was submerged like a hot piece of metal.
Tsarmina's writhing slowed as she felt her strength leave her, and she began to slip into a sea of total darkness as her lungs screamed for air. The heavy blackness that thundered against her skull intensified and she almost surrendered to the cold icy fingers of death, when suddenly the world came rushing back in a large wave of dangerous enlivening reality. The grip on her neck had been released and she was rescued from a watery g…

His footpaws pounded through the shallow snow, echoing across the barren plain.
His breath came in ragged gasps, visible in the chilly air.
The mouse was running.
For three days and nights, he had sped across frozen flatlands with remarkable speed, with only a bag of meager provisions and the clothes on his back to sustain him. At first, the terrain seemed to go on forever, making the mouse begin to doubt whether he was making progress at all in this foreign land. But on the fourth day, when he climbed atop a dune and saw the expansive forest that lay ahead, he knew that he was getting somewhere…
What If Wulpp survived the battle...
Wulpp waited and waited, and fell asleep. He woke up to his gullet being parched and the sun in his eyes, he looked around. Suddenly it struck him! The Battle of Marshank was over! There were vermin bodies everywhere, he heard a loud screech in the sky, and looked up. There were huge birds and there was a clanging of swords in Marshank. Wulpp stood up and tried to yell, but no voice came out, he then ran into marshank to find Clogg. Clogg was fighting for dear life, and he defeated all the birds. Wulpp ran up to him, but Clogg took one look at him, and stuck his dagger into his heart. Wulpp looked in horror, Clogg really was mad! Since there were no birds, he went into Marshank and started to gulp down wine, and ate roasted seabird. When …
Mossflower Patrol
Chapter 1
The Otter and the Squirrel
Saia the Otter was running away from a vermin camp. "Fools" she said out loud. This made the vermin chasing her very mad, he said "Aye' riverdog give that havysack' ter me". Saia ignored the ferret and ran even faster. She occasionally stopped and let the ferret a dibbuns length close to her, but then she dashed off. The ferret, out of breath, hoarsely gasped " Yer gonna pay fer all thar bloodshed, Riverdog! Don't yer dare ferget the name Savagetooth! The ferret then collapsed to the ground, out of breath. "Savagetooth's the right name for ya" thought Saia. Saia looked at her surroundings, making sure there were no other vermin. She then realized running into the depths of Mossflower was a bad idea, as…
Collection of Fanfiction - 2018
This collection of writing dates back to the summer of 2018. These works were written for a fanfiction project initiated by a user eulaliaaaaaa on Tumblr and the works were published by each user on Archive of Our Own (AO3) to the collection Redwall Fic Month 2018. Below are my contributions to the fun project back in 2018. Each week had an optional theme for writers to tailor their works to; I am no different.
Enjoy. x
- Theme: Dreams
Everybeast dreams, it's that simple. What it is that each dream is a more complex matter. Dreams sometimes are random, sometimes they're spurred on by actions and fate itself. Some of those dreams created the lineage of the badger Lords of Salamandastron that are very much fabled as they are real. Other times, it guide…
The Sentinels 2
The confrontations between ghosts
Sylvan liked what she saw. The cruel raven’s piercing black eyes came to rest on a particularly small and scrawny red hawk struggling to fly in the storm that was pounding the land, sending torrents of rain down on the extensive expanse of pine trees. Sylvan watched the little hawk struggle from her perch on a stick underneath a well built canopy of tree bark and moss. Finally the raven tired of watching the young birds anguish and sent two large ravens to bring her the hawk “Get her, yes that one. The hawk.”. As the two large birds flew to get the hawk Sylvan turned around and stalked towards a table laden with a large baked trout with little garnishes of parsley and a sprinkling of lemon juice. The raven…
The Sentinels
“Once, long before any of even the oldest sentinels were hatched there lived a great hawk who went by the name of “The Watcher”. The Watcher noticed how birds died every day from murderous unseen spirits that take the forms of ghostlike ravens. The Watcher decided to form a guard, a group of birds that could watch over the other, more defenceless birds, keeping out dangers and keeping all creatures safe. Eventually the Watcher passed on to the other side and his spirit went to the eagle in the sky to be a star in the ever growing universe. But still the guard prospered and all creatures did too. Generations passed and slowly the guard were now referred to as the Sentinels. That my boy is how the Sentinels order came to be.” Marien stroked…
The Grey Warlord
SOUTHSWARD
The Grey Warlord was coming!
Erksine the weasel stumbled over a stool as he ran to the high tower window. He was short for a weasel – though that most likely had more to do with his old age than anything. His silver-grey fur, normally clean and combed to near perfection, was spiked out in fear.
"Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear," Erksine mumbled, picking himself up and readjusting his spectacles back on his nose. Poking his head out of the window, he gazed down at the scene far below.
Castle Stargazer was more of an observatory than an actual fortress. Its four stone walls surrounding it were mere fences compared to most castles and strongholds.
It was the headquarters of the Southsward Stargazer Society. Their members consisted of creature…

Like a disease, the empire had rose from a small start and had gone on to conquer the land. Vafír Silvertung, fox warlord of the south, had grown ambitious, and gathered vermin. He was sly, persuasive, and disciplined. He gathered raggedy bands of foxes and rats, then had them trained by himself and the few he found competent enough. Though they were small, they became strong, loyal, skilled, and smart. After years of gathering and training rats, weasels, stoats, ferrets, and foxes, his ambitions widened. He traveled to Drev Malki, fortress of …

The fall was quickly coming to an end, and winter was just around the corner, but not for the shore and beaches of the west where the mountain fortress, Salamandastron resided. They had never gotten snow, only rain and cold fronts, but today was bright and sunny. Near the shoreline, and neighboring Salamandastron, resided a small fishing and port village. The inhabitants were peace loving bankvoles. They carried no weapons, held no barriers, and trained no armies, these voles only k…
Defenders of Redwall (new)
OMT it's finally here!! *squeals and bounces in bed* At last, I am rewriting DoR!! I'm trying to figure out a way to take turns between writing this and my to-be-published book, because I love them both too much, so we'll see how this goes. 8] Here's the music playlist, which I should probably update. [1]
Sorry I don't have any new cover art yet... I'll be working on that. :D
But I should stop rambling, so, without further ado.... please enjoy, my dear mates. *bows, drops mic, and leaves stage*
It started with a shadow.
A darkness had swept briefly over the peaceful abbey that fateful summer evening, casting a chill over the creatures below. Mice, otters, hedgehogs, badgers, and all were stunned to see the huge, bird-like shape in the sky.
Then…
Pass along story/story starter
Hiyah this is a story starter or pass along story. Feel free to take it and make it your own! Just please make sure I know about it if you write the next bit - I would REALLY like to read any additions. Please comment and let me know about any grammar issues etc. Would really appreciate feedback. Enjoy!
The returning traveller
Spindel Chog was a friendly hedgehog with a kindly manner. He was from Redwall originally but had been traveling for many seasons and was now returning home. As he trundled down the path, he marvelled once again at the size and quiet grandeur the Abbey held. Bathed in fading sunlight, it glowed a dusky rose, the dark green of the climbing vines contrasting perfectly. It was the picture of peace and tranquillity, and so …
Spring of the Early Snowdrops
In Mossflower, it was almost spring. Snowdrops poked through the ground, showing their little faces to the sun. The luscious blossoms were beginning to show on the trees. However, the beautiful scene was lost on Splitear the stoat. Leader of a vermin band about twoscore strong, he and his band wandered through Mossflower. Looking for plunder as they went, the vermin were aiming for a greater prize. The Abbey of Redwall.
The vermin had set up camp near a small stream running through Mossflower Wood. Vermin drank eagerly from the stream, scooping water into their parched mouths. The rat Fopa unwisely voiced his opinion to his friend Gowba. “This is useless, we’re clearly lost.” Gowba quickly shushed him. “Quiet now mate, Splitear might hear…
The King's Outlaw
Sorry this is a day late, I meant to publish it in time for Christmas, but here it is, my gift to all of my amazing friends and fellow fanwarriors here on Redwall Wiki. Love you guys!
Lekota's Journal
Holding (neglecting) a project and starting another. I'm terrible.
As the title suggests, it's Lekota's Journal, Ox Rookbane's son. If you don't know him, you better go read up on Light in the Dark and Conflux of Time.
This is my journey I have decided to take up. It's what I feel I must do. After... a grueling debate with my love, we've come to terms... I'd take Oxford with me-- my youngest son, and we will leave. I had to promise I'd allow her visits and see her once in awhile. Behind the smile of compromise and happiness, deep inside I felt... shredded. How could I keep up with my side of the bargain? Will I? How will my children feel?
It's been awhile since my father has passed. There's been no Lord of Salamandastron. I can feel his essence …
The First Patrol Bossess
The First Patrol Bossess
Thunder boomed and lightning flashed across the stormy black sky. Enormous waves topped with foam creashed endlessly against the shores of Salamandastron. Inside the mountain, however, it was warm and cozy. Inside the ancient home of countless badger lords, a young haremaid bearing a tray knocked timidly on the door to Lord Russano’s study. “Enter!” boomed the badger Lord’s thunderous voice. Balancing the tray carefully on one paw, the haremaid twisted the knob and stumbled into the room, catching the sliding tray before it hit the ground. Pushing the door closed with her left footpaw, she hurried forward, holding the tray out. Suddenly tripping over her large clumsy footpaws, she fell forward, unable to stop the tr…
Raven's Feather
This is a fan fiction story by User:Astar Goldenwing. It is not considered canon, nor is it a policy or guideline.
This story is loosely connected with my fan fiction ‘For Freedom’: the War of Thousand Rains, or the war with reptiles, that is mentioned in the prologue, is the same war that Longstep and One-ear from ‘For Freedom’ fought in. Besides, in the book 3 of ‘For Freedom’ another connection between the stories could be glimpsed that would play its own role. Aside from that, ‘Raven’s Feather’ is an independent story that could be read alone.
In this story, one season equals one year.
Feel free to comment at the end and correct mistakes if you want.

Defenders of Redwall:The Graphic Novel
Well, now I have at least the prologue of this, I'm gonna go ahead and make a post for it. ;) This is a graphic novel version of my fanfic, Defenders of Redwall. It's not the greatest, because with coloring all those frames I get kinda lazy sometimes, but it's fun and that's what counts. xD Not sure how far I'll get with this, but here goes nothing. Please comment! :D
I'm sorry, but I'm stopping this here. Just 'cause I'm currently rewriting DoR... and the story will be quite different. XD So yeah. Perhaps someday I'll make a new one. *shrug* =)

Tears of a Warrior Chapter 1
Chapter 1
Nikos sheathed his blade and stepped outside where the remaining hordebeasts were at. He stood up on an old hay wagon, as the Hordebeasts lined up in rows of 5 to 8. One of the hordebeasts was a vixen named Gretcha, she was the Healer of the crew, she stood in the middle of the rows. She wore a purple robe and wore a headdress. Nikos inhaled and let out a big bellow.
"Ladies and gentlebeast, may I have your attention! Redwall is just east from here, they have plenty of supplies, weapons, and warm beds for us to lay our weary heads on. No more sleeping on the cold floor, no more scavenging for food. We will live like kings and lords, they are a peaceful bunch, talking that place will be a piece of cake. Are you with me?"
He shouted o…

| This is an unofficial sequel to Mattimeo, the real sequel is Pearls of Lutra. This takes place 10 years in the future after Matthias rescued Mattimeo. Yes I know that years are not applied in the Redwall Fantasies but I chose to give them "Human Years" because I wanted to Give the readers a more humanly vibe.
Mattimeo polished his sword as Tess made hot vegetable soup. Mattimeo was sitting next to his son Martin II, the baby mouse was in a bassinet made from wicker. Tess smiled at her husband as she stirred the soup with a wooden ladle in the big cauldron. However, at Cavern Hole, a sick Abbot Mordalfus laid in his b…
Fessel and Co
This is my first fanfic on here. I have written before, but I didn't post anything until now.
It's set in Mossflower Country a long time in the future.
Thalliope Fessel had no idea what had been going on in Mossriver. The small city which was situated near the ancient Redwall Abbey had been feeling the tight economical times as well as anybody else. The Fessel & Fitzmond Company had taken one of the largest hits, but what shocked the tall, auburn-furred squirrel the most was the disrepair most of the company buildings were in when he returned. Granted, it had been twenty seasons since he had left his hometown to grow the business, but he thought he had left it in good paws.
Thal stuck his paws in his pockets as he walked the grounds, a half …
Frost Hare
This is my Christmas/Winter/New Years gift to all of you, all my RW friends! =D I love you all so much!!! ^^ So yeah, this is what I've been working on for the past month... :s But now it's finished, I can hopefully get back to DoR next month, when I won't be so busy. I wanted to finish this in time for Christmas, so it's not the greatest... feels a bit rushed to me... but I hope you enjoy it anyway. :} It's actually a crossover with Rise of the Guardians, which might sound weird, but I loved the idea so much. x] It's with Jack and the ARWT characters. If you haven't seen RotG... well, this story shouldn't really have too many spoilers, or you could go watch it, then read the story. ;) I hope you enjoy it anyway, even if you don't understan…
Altira: The Marlfox's Revenge
From the haunts of the island one will rise,
Furious warrior with the stars in her eyes.
Find the one who waits beside the sable path of old,
Waiting for the one who will avenge the past untold.
Look upon the treasure with eyes anew,
Find the dark one and her promise to you.
Story by story, day by day,
Only time will tell whose tale to portray.
An enemy you thought vanquished arises from the dark.
Black as night, starry light, the vixen makes her mark.
The sun set on the island of the Marlfoxes. The castle, once so proud and stately, lay in ruins, a pile of stones and timber. The guards and soldiers lay somewhere under the rubble, slain. The High King Mokkan, also, was dead. The only living creatures left were the shoals of pike in the water.
Or were…
Keeping Silent
Karalea strained and tugged at the rope. She looked to her right, where her brother, Landis, and several other slaves hauled at the huge stone. Landis glanced at her and smiled. She shook her brown head at him. "No," she tried to mouth. "Stay silent. Don't draw attention to yourself."
A groan arrested her attention. She jerked her head around and saw that an old squirrel had fallen. Karalea had talked to him once or twice, but she was far better acquainted with his son Felldoh. Now, the squirrel lay on the ground with a young mouse bending over him.
Karalea instinctively glanced at Hisk, who didn't look happy. He raised his whip. "Here, keep movin', you lot!" he ordered. Then he turned on the squirrel.
"Get up, you!" he yelled. When the squir…
An Epilogue to Warrioress
Ok, so I finished my story called Warrioress. But I decided to add a short epilogue in which Marion explains to Martin where she was while he was off in Mossflower battling enormous wildcat queens. (Not the most normal siblings in the world).
WARRIORESS EPILOGUE
The reunited pair made camp that night under several oak trees. Martin stirred up a roaring fire.
"Aaah." Marion stretched out her paws to the warmth. Her brother nodded at the jagged white scars.
"Where'd you get these?"
Marion smiled ruefully. "I was kidnapped by one of Badrang's patrols a short time after you must have been. When I saw Badrang for the first time, I lost control and attacked him- unarmed. It took eight of them to get me off him. Then he did this." She extended her paw…
Warrioress
Ok. So clearly this is not real. This is fan fiction. I thought it was really sad that Martin didn't have any family. Obviously, after the whole situation with Rose of Noonvale, I couldn't write a love story. And since Sayna and Luke are dead, I couldn't have Martin on a quest for his parents. So I thought of this idea instead. I am not saying it's good. I had a LOT of issues to work through with this story. Anyway, enjoy...
WARRIORESS
Marion bit her lip to keep from crying out. Her paws always ached, but they rarely hurt like this. She glanced over at the two vixens standing beneath a spreading honey locust tree. As usual, Lady Redflash and her mother, Moonfang, were engaged in a heated argument. Marion stood up and slipped off to the river…
The Diamond Maid
The Diamond Maid
By Stormflash Diamond
I have heard the Dibbuns ask about me. My past. How I came to be the Abbey Warrior. So I am telling this tale to the Abbey Recorder, Nightbird Star. This tale is the tale of my past, and how I came to the Abbey. It is a tale of greatness, treachery, and deceit. It is about what happened when I ran away, and killed my uncle, Skipper of Otters. It is how I turned from a restless young maid to...me. I apologize for rambling, these summer days are making me tired. But all I can do is try my best to relate the story as I can and tell you to bring good spirits and lots of food, this journey into my youth shall take awhile. I shall now begin my yarn.

A Look Into Vermin Culture
Author's note: This is not exactly a story, though I have thought up several plot ideas for these characters and written other pieces. It's simply a dialogue between two characters. It's more of a push to get started with writing again, and to start posting on here. I figured vermin have a culture of some sort too, so I decided to try to discover some of it through my characters Nancy and Taftaf.
Nancy is a fieldmouse who finds herself as a guest (or a privileged prisoner, not sure which yet) in a horde. She befriends a female weasel after quite some time, and here they are washing clothes at a lake (maybe they're on washing duty, or maybe Nancy's teaching Taftaf some sanitary lessons =P).
- “Yore married, aren’t ye, Nance?” Taftaf said with a…

Author’s note: This is my latest writing project which I am thrilled to share with you all. It is the sequel to Kyrin: Son of a Warrior, which was completed three years ago. This is where I left off. Enjoy. ~The Ghost Writer, 6/1/2016
Behold! My tale I tell for all

Built on blood and ancient gold
Beating heart of immoral bold
So go! And find what you desire
In the shadow of the watchful fire.
The island of Werithor lay far out in the Western Sea, weeks away from the sandy coastline which bordered Mossflower Country. Thick forests grew all over the island, covering the landscape in a lush patch of green. Sprouting out from the center of this rocky landmass was…
8 Facts About...
I’ve seen these posted on DeviantArt a lot, and so I thought: why not to do the same with my Redwall characters? It would allow me to share some interesting facts that didn’t made their way into the stories proper yet, especially the development process, and I could update more often with such snippets while the proper chapters are in the work. And you can suggest the next character or characters about which you want to learn more in the comments, though personally I’d prefer to do such posts for characters that don’t get as much screen time as the mains. Then, let us begin.

The Abandoned
Okay, so this is going to be a prequel to Mattimeo, and the story of an abandoned youngbeast hailing from The Far East. His name is Malka Riss. This is tale of revenge, power, love, war, life, death, and everything in between.
If you haven't noticed this is my first fanfiction I've started in the year of 2016 A.D.!! Yay!! I am putting The Spearmaid on hold for the moment, until this is finished. That being said,
From above, a figure screamed as it descended downward towards the bottom of the chasm. A creature awoke from his slumber within a large basket. His bloodshot red and brown eyes opened wide. He groaned in pain as his aching joints creaked as he rose from the basket. It was a mouse who had fallen, with a pretty sword too. Mmm, fresh meat …

The Taggerung’s Battle
This is a fan fiction story by User:Astar Goldenwing. It is not considered canon, nor is it a policy or guideline.
This is a side story/prequel to my upcoming fan fiction story ‘The Coming of Badger Lady’. The following events take place around five seasons before events of ‘The Coming of Badger Lady’ and thirty seasons before events of ‘The Long Patrol’.
As a little content warning, I have to note that this story is going to be more violent than my usual writing. Nothing overly gory and bloody, but it’s still going to be on the same level as ‘A Slave's Revenge’ with regards to the violence, if not overall mood.
In this story, one season equals one year.
Feel free to comment at the end and correct mistakes if you want.

The Legend of Eulalia
Wounds have I sixteen, is slit my byrnie,
dim grows my sight, I see no longer:
to my heart did hew, venom-hardened,
Angantýr’s sword slashing sharply.
Shall fair ladies never learn that I,
from blows me shielding, backward turned me;
nor shall ever Ingibiorg taunt me,
in Sigtúna sitting,that from sword-blows I fled.
Unwilling nowise,from women’s converse,
from their sweet songs I with Soti fared,
hastened to join the host to eastward, went the last time forth from friends so dear.
Led me the white-browed liege’s daughter
to the outmost end of Agnafit
Is borne out thus that back I would not
wend from this war: so the wise maid said.
From Ingibiorg—came ill-hap swiftly—
I fared forth, then,on fated day:
a lasting sorrow to the lady, this,
since not e’er after e…
Juska
This is a fanfiction. It is not considered canon, nor is it policy or guideline. I would like to dedicate this to my grandma and my step-dads niece. My grandma has always been here for me even though she has cancer, and she always tries to find time to read my stories and spend time with me. Also, my step-dads niece actually got me into Redwall, so many thanks to her! I hope you enjoy!
It was a rainy day on the west coasts. Zann Juskarath Taggerung stood in a cloth tent. His seer, Yerslynn, stood by his side. Zann spat on the ground, where a dead body lay.
"Yerslynn, what troubles you?" the Taggerung asked the vixen.
Yerslynn bowed to her Taggerung. She was odd looking. Her coat was patched with creamy brown, red, and white. Her brass bracele…

I actually made most of the characters for this story before I even really knew about Redwall Wiki. Me and my brother are always being our favorite characters, and so we made some RW characters up for ourselves. We have a hideout down at our creek, (the Moss) that we built specially for being our characters. Then, when I found out that you can write fanfics on this wiki, I decided to write down our adventures as Cherry and Spikes. Thing is, we're always arguing over stuff. Argh.
To everybeast on this wiki who has written a fanfic, because you inspired me to write my own. Also for my brother, (who is Spikes), my Dad, (who helped us with our hideout), a…

Fat Snowflakes fell lazily on top of the Great Roof of Redwall Abbey. The windows of the Red Abbey where filled with a soft light; typical of Redwall. While a soft, hazy blanket covered the ground, the Dwellers of the Abbey all lay huddled in Cavern Hole. A story was about to be told, once…
A Slave's Revenge
This is a fan fiction story by Astar Goldenwing. It is not considered canon, nor is it a policy or guideline.
In essence, this is an independent Redwall story. However, I managed to draw connection to my fan fiction story ‘For Freedom’, making it a very loose side story/prequel. In fact, its connection with ‘For Freedom’ is just the relations of certain characters to each other, so it contains no spoilers and can be read independently.
This story was inspired by ‘The Legend of Luke’ and some ‘what if’ speculations on its part as well as certain events of Russian-Japanese war of 1905. Naming these events right now would be too much of a spoiler, but there are hints at them in the story.
Now that you know my inspiration sources, you probably wo…

As Lady Melanius, who's tale is yet to be told.
"Are you sure you want to go on this journey, Melanius?" Snowstripe asked. "After all, it could be dangerous." "Oh, don't worry your head about it, Snowstripe. She'll be safe with us." Snowstripe turned around to see Reedthorn, the Skipper of Otters. "Oh, I don't just worry about her, Reedthorn." Snowstripe continu…
Paladins: Genesis
By Reep
- This is the first story in a series of fanfics called the Paladins (a synonym of 'defenders', for those who don't know). The series itself is rather long (6 fics), and I hope I'll be able to write them all. They are-
Paladins: Genesis-How Reep's tribe got to Green Isle, and of his mentor, Wave Galedeep. This one
Paladins: ThunderStorm(yes, they all start with "Paladins" at the beginning)-Reep and Nikko's first story.
- And then the others, which I haven't named yet.
- It's going to be a different take on Redwall then what most fanfic writers do; sort of like Sayna's Fics. It's set during and after the events of 'The Rogue Crew'. Even though it's a different take on Redwall, I'm still assuming that the same events happened.
- I dedicate this fa…

- 2 Part One: A New King!
- 3 Part Two: The Days of Gingivere
- 4 Part Three: The Queen
This is what would have happened if they discovered that Tsarmina poisoned Verdauga and Gingivere was named King of Mossflower. This is also a rewrite of Mossflower much like SaynaSLuke's fanfics. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
Gingivere was walking through the hallways. He was looking for his sister, Tsarmina. He had looked on the balcony, in her bedroom, and the only other place she would be is in their father, Verdauga Greeneyes, bedroom. He just wanted to tell her that dinner tonight would not be trout, as planned. It would now be roasted dove. He knocked twice before entering his father's bedroom. Sure enough, Tsarmina was there. She was pla…

Gladir Raz the black rat walked into his tent. He was the chieftain of the Juskaraz, a vermin Horde of about 20 score vermin. And now, he had a meeting with Valen the ancient vixen seer and healer. She had been in the horde since Zord Cram, father of Grag Cram, their last leader, had ruled the horde.
He had a plan. It was dangerous. It was risky. But he would do it anyway. As he sat down in the tent, Valen just stared at him. "Well, what are you waiting for!? Let's begin!" the rat chieftain said in his usual gruff voice. The vixen hesitated, then took a breath, and softly said, "Before we begin, there must be a chant, as well as a sacrifice of fur." The black rat took out a double-edged …
