Borrakul was a a male otter member of the Wandering Noonvale Companions Troupe. He was the brother of Elachim. He acted as one of the ferrets in the historical play called Duel of Insults, and also did balancing acts with Elachim. Borrakul helped to defend Redwall Abbey against the Marlfoxes, but during the same battle, Elachim was killed.
Beforehand, he had been very shy, but his brother's death emboldened him for vengeance and he took charge in a surprise attack, much to Florian Dugglewoof Wilffachop's annoyance. Borrakul eventually avenged Elachim's murder by slaying his killer, the Marlfox Predak. The otter managed to strangle her; attempting to get away, she jumped over the Abbey wall and died from the fall.
