Braggio Ironhook was a big, loudmouthed male ferret with a hook in place of his missing left forepaw. He was ambitious and vain, and challenged Razzid Wearat for captaincy of the Greenshroud. He was also more intelligent than most vermin - even Razzid noticed this - and it was he who came up with the idea to fit wheels and giant crossbows on the Greenshroud.
When Razzid returned to the Isle of Irgash from a failed raiding expedition, badly wounded and apparently dying, Braggio took advantage of this and proceeded to win other vermin to his side. He also authorized the repairing of the wrecked Greenshroud, altering it with the new specifications. When the job was completed, Braggio threw a party for all of the vermin on Irgash to celebrate his new ascension to captaincy. However, a fully recovered and very jealous Razzid appeared out of nowhere with a hatchet, and Braggio was decapitated.
