Deodar was a former Tenth Spring Runner in the Long Patrol under Lady Cregga Rose Eyes. She was one of the newer recruits. Deodar carried a fencing sabre, and was the niece of Lieutenant Morio, who had taught her to fence. She was taught so well that she held against Badger Lady Cregga for a time in a practice duel; Cregga complimented her greatly on her skill afterwards.
