Dunfreda was a female hare of Salamandastron. She was the wife of Colonel Whippscut and mother of Bescarum. Dunfreda was good friends with Memm Flackery and Lady Merola. She and Merola both shed tears very often, for example when their sons Bescarum and Sagaxus ran away.
