Corporal Ellbrig was the male hare Lance Corporal of the Long Patrol under Lady Cregga Rose Eyes. He assisted in training new Long Patrol recruits. Ellbrig seemed to be the second-in-command of the army of hares after Drill Sergeant Clubrush. During the Battle of the Ridge of a Thousand he ministered to Trowbaggs' wounds after he had been unsportingly struck by a vermin, with Shangle Widepad providing them cover.
