Watch Brian Jacques discuss the term "Eulalia" on the Redwall TV Series

Eulalia is the traditional war cry of badgers and hares throughout the Redwall series. Often this applies to Salamandastron badger lords, as well as members of the Long Patrol.

The correct phonetic pronunciation of the word (YOO-LAY-LEE-AHH) comes from Boorab the Fool in Ch. 36 of Taggerung. It can be found at the beginning of Ch. 30 in Salamandastron as well.

What does Eulalia mean in Redwall?[]

The term Eulalia is supposedly derived from an ancient Norse, Viking, or Celtic word meaning "victory."
