Flummerty was a female hare member of the Long Patrol. She was a new recruit and had not seen any action until 100 fighting hares (and Wild Doogy Plumm and Rakkety Tam MacBurl) went after Gulo the Savage. Flummerty was close friends with Flunkworthy and Folderon, two other recruits who both went on the same mission. It took Flummerty some time to get the hang of marching.
