Gubbio was a young mole Dibbun of Redwall Abbey who was friends with Sloey. He later became Foremole. He and Brother Melilot prepared a Redwall Midsummer Feast with the help of Rimrose and Ellayo.
It's unknown why Gubbio took over from Diggum to be Foremole; age seems not to be much of an issue.
