Halfnose was a burly searat member of the Waveblade. While drunk, he offered Gabool the Wild his cudgel to strike the Joseph Bell, which caused him to be kicked into an open cask of wine. He was probably killed by Lord Rawnblade Widestripe along with the rest of the Waveblade's crew.
