Jodd was a male hare member of Redfarl's Mossflower squirrel crew. He was the husband of Fleetrunn. Jodd was found lost in Mossflower and joined up with the squirrels, wanting to be one of them. Due to this, he was frequently described as a "squirrelhare." He protected Sister Withe from Veil when he attempted to attack her.
Jodd also assisted in deflecting Swartt Sixclaw away from Redwall Abbey with the squirrel crew. Later, he relocated to Redwall Abbey, where he met and stayed with Fleetrunn. He was known to use arrows the size of javelins.

- In Redwall.org's Ask Brian, Volume 2, Brian Jacques says that to finish Jodd's full name, "add Jodrellio." This would make his name Wilthurio Longbarrow Sackfirth Toxophola Fedlric Fritillary Wilfrand Hurdleframe Longarrow Leawelt Pugnacio Cinnabar Hillwether Jodrellio.
- The part "Toxophola" in Jodd's name likely hints at a book called "Toxophilus", the first book about archery (and longbow archery specifically) in England, published in 1545. Toxophilus means "a lover of the bows."
