King Agarnu was a Pure Ferret, the son of King Sarengo, and the ruler of Riftgard. An overweight coward with a false leg carved from bone, he sent his children Prince Bladd and Princess Kurda to do what he could not, retrieve the missing royal symbols of Riftguard and prove their high status.
He lost the symbols on an ill-fated trip to Mossflower Woods, during which Sarengo died while fighting serpents who lived inside Brockhall. Agarnu was the only survivor of that voyage, and he lost his leg in the process of returning home. He always hated the sea, even the sight of it could induce seasickness. The precise reason for his hatred was never revealed as it began prior to his voyage to Mossflower.
Agarnu was drowned by his rebelling slaves, who cast him into the ocean on his throne.
