Lady Kaltag, feline lady of Green Isle, was the wife of Riggu Felis and the mother of Pitru and Jeefra. Unlike many vermin families, she was attached to her sons, and powerfully opposed her husband's decision to make them rank-and-file cats in his army.
She disapproved of Riggu Felis' teaching Pitru and Jeefra to take what they wanted by force. Upon Jeefra's death, she became mentally unstable, blaming many creatures for his killing, including her husband for sending their sons to the barracks and the rebel otter Leatho Shellhound. Ironically, her closest ally was Jeefra's true murderer, her other son Pitru.
When Shellhound was captured, Kaltag made several vain attempts to end his life, such as throwing a spear at him, but she was restrained on Riggu Felis' orders, as he wanted to keep the otter as a hostage. However, when Riggu and his soldiers were distracted in battle, Kaltag found Leatho trapped in a room in the fortress tower. Consumed with hatred, she burned the room down. Although her death was not mentioned outright, it is assumed that she was killed by the fire.
