Ringtail was a Terramort searat and a member of Greypatch's crew. He was part of a group of rats that went foraging for food and was stung by one of Pakatugg Treefleet's darts. When almost the entire crew rebelled against Greypatch and followed Bigfang back to the Darkqueen he was the first to spot it; as he ran towards the ship he was killed when Colonel Clary, who was aboard the ship with his hare patrol, shot an arrow into Ringtail's throat.
