Sister Clemence was a female mouse resident of Redwall Abbey. She was also a member of the Council of Elders, and when Matthias and Constance told Abbot Mortimer and the Council that they had observed Cluny the Scourge and his horde, Sister Clemence remarked scornfully: "Perhaps Cluny is coming to get us for staying up late."
She also chided Matthias when he suggested placing guards on the walls of Abbey.
