Starwort was a male otter who appeared to be Skipper of the North Eastern Otters. He was the husband of Marigold, and was described as having tattooed paws. When Martin the Warrior and his companions were drugged by Aggril, he and his crew ferried them part of the way to Noonvale at the request of Boldred on the Waterlily.
He was also a friend of Gulba. He and his otters traveled with Martin, Rose, Grumm, and Pallum to Fort Marshank and joined in the final battle.
