At what point in the book did Buckler use a broadsword? Wild Doogy Plumm
Haway Braaaaaw!
Buckler never did use a broadsword in the book, he always refered to them as large and clumsy things because he favored his rapier.

I asked that question because someone kept putting broadsword on Buckler's list of weapons. Wild Doogy Plumm

The Hybrid Sword[]
The description as a thicker, broadened rapier in the book perfectly describes a cut-and-thrust sword, which is a modern term for an early transitional piece between the earlier backsword and the later, thinner rapier.
