Mariel must have married Dandin, because Dandin had descendants such as Bisky, Samolus Fixa, and the Gonfelin. Besides, Mariel was the only young female mouse Dandin was close to. I also have the feeling that Joseph would have liked to have Dandin as a son-in-law. --User:Mutesa1
I don't think Brisky, Samolus, etc. were ever specified to be the descendants of Dandin. They were the descendants of Gonff, but he (or one of his descendants) may have had multiple children, so Brisky, etc. may not have been from Dandin's part of the family. Whether or not Mariel and Dandin married has been debated thoroughly, but this wiki only posts verifiable facts, and Mariel and Dandin's relationship was never canonically established.--Gandr Adderbane Slayer of Snakes 23:40, June 26, 2011 (UTC)

Me too. Is it possible that John Churchmouse was a relative of Mariel? In Redwall, it says that his family had lived at St. Ninians for generations, and so had Gonff's. Isn't it a distinct possibility that the families are one and the same? It would also make sense for all the warrior mice in Redwall to be connected genetically.--Mutesa1 02:49, July 8, 2012 (UTC)
