I'm a little unsure about this page: it's about Redwall: The Movie, yet it covers all episodes including stuff like the spice merchant. --Qlberts
The movie is the episodes, abridged. --LordTBT

Oh yeah, I remember this. My PBS station aired it in 2001 and 2002 shortly before Christmas. I remember seeing the episode “Asmodeus” a week or two after I saw it in 2002 and was confused by all the cutbacks to outside the quarry that I’d never seen, lol.
While something getting abridged isn’t always a good thing, I think that here it worked well enough. Season 1 just didn’t work as an full adaptation to me, there were too many detours from the main story; although I will say “A Favor Returned” was a fantastic episode, since it involves two of my favorite characters (Warbeak and Asmodeus), it was ultimately just an unnecessary add-on to the overall story that was really more enjoyable on it’s own.
So yeah, I’d say this abridged version’s existence is justifiable. It’s title, on the other hand, is a completely different can of worms (and not in the Sparra sense!). While “Redwall: The Abridged Version” might not have been as marketable, it’s at least more honest. Of course, there never has been an actual movie in the two decades since this was released, so Nelvana got lucky there. Fortunately, however, it sounds like Netflix is finally about to change that! :) AsmodeusTheAdder03 (talk) 10:16, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
