Hodd the hare was at his wit’s end, he could not find those dibbuns anywhere! Somewhere in his memory he vaguely remembered promising them that he would take them to pick berries in Mossflower. He knew he was a little late…but shouldn’t they have waited?
He was told by Brother Neff that they had gone to play in the strawberry patch. The skinny hare marched over to them, and, placing his paws on his hips, barked out, “Confound it all! Extract from the Writings of Hattie Tuwya, Recorder Watervole of Redwall in Mossflower Country. My, what a day it has been. Busy, but wonderful. It is almost time for the evening meal here at Redwall Abbey. I hope Friar Schnouzer remembered to bake some of my favorite strawberry flans…they are delicious! Karina hurriedly put on her light blue robe and proceeded out of the dormitories, heading for Cavern Hole, where most of the crea…
Anno the Badger

A lone badger trudged across a large stretch of barren land, east of Mossflower Wood. The badger was thin and gaunt. He was almost a lifeless figure, stark bones stuck out from his black fur. Three long pink slashes ran down his back, blood still spurting from the wound, leaving a trail of blood behind him. This badger needed to be treated fast, or else he would die. The only thing, which added the slightest essence of life to the creature, was the fiery light in his eyes. It could not be ignored. He wasn’t going to give up. The badger stumbled on a sharp rock, which jutted out from the dry land. He fell on his face. A slight groan escaped the sad creature and he tried to get on to his feet. But he could not. A tear ran down his cheek an…
