The trailer for the short film adaptation of Jamie and the Vampires from Brian Jacques' Seven Strange and Ghostly Tales has officially been released! The 1:02 clip was accompanied by the following synopsis:
Dare you visit the vampire's tomb at midnight when the church bell tolls?
In a quiet suburban town, young Jamie struggles to balance her mother’s helicopter parenting and the desire for social approval whilst maintaining her own values. On Halloween night, a dare from her friends leads her to a decrepit graveyard, where she stumbles upon an ancient vampire crypt. But these vampires aren’t just creatures of the night - they’re an undead family, complete with their own matriarchal and patriarchal tensions.
As Jamie meets Vladimira, a young vampire her age, she’s drawn into a world that mirrors her own struggles. Vladimira is trapped by her overbearing vampire mother, who insists on maintaining outdated traditions.
The trailer features a scene in which Jamie, Kelly Ann, and Monaghan establish Jamie's dare to return to the cemetery at midnight, as well as a brief appearance of Vladimira and her mother.
There's also a fun Easter egg - Jamie lies in bed reading a paperback of Salamandastron with the Blacksheep UK cover artwork.
