After The Sable Quean was spotted on Amazon.com, shortly thereafter the release date changed to January 2010. Thinking this to be some sort of clerical error, we did not report this change.
Now, it seems, Redwall.org is reporting this new date is totally accurate, and that in addition, "repackaged" editions of earlier Redwall novels will be released around the same time. Amazon has also removed the listing for The Sable Quean.
Barring any surprises, it appears as if 2009 will be the first year ever that we do not see a new work from Brian Jacques; one also has to wonder whether or not he will be going on tour this year too, given this news.
