Back in July 2017, Soma Games announced a slate of games that were to be The Lost Legends of Redwall:
The Scout, The Miner, and The Archer.
Each game was to involve a central protagonist (mouse, mole, squirrel), who would eventually be "thrust into a suddenly dramatic situation" where "the three strangers become fast friends and wind up in a critical, but as-yet unsung role in the events that bring the sword of Martin the Warrior to Matthias and [bring] the end to that villain Cluny the Scourge."
This month, nearly four years later, Soma Games has revealed a change in their release strategy.
"Soma Games has made the difficult decision to cancel development on The Miner and The Archer for the time being," Soma posted on Facebook. "Instead, we are pleased to properly announce that we are developing four new adventures in two mobile titles coming to iOS and Android."
One of these games is to be "Feasts & Friends" - a mobile game featuring Lilygrove Scout Corps chef Rootsworth Rushstalk, who appears in The Scout Act I.

According to an iOS description:
Help Rootsworth be the finest cook in all of Mossflower, including the storied Abbey under Friar Hugo.
From the acclaimed fantasy world of Brian Jacques comes another Lost Legend of Redwall! Embark alongside Scout Chef Rootsworth on his journey to become the finest cook in all of Mossflower Wood. Chop, simmer, and serve your way through iconic locations, from the humble village of Lilygrove to the Badger Lord's stronghold of Salamandastron. Impress the master cooks of Redwall Abbey and you may just be invited to join the chefs of the famous Nameday Feast!
Feasts and Friends offers a nuanced cooking sandbox where the recipes are yours to follow, ignore, or invent as you choose.
- Cook for a cast of rich characters eager to share their stories, or simply experiment in the free-play kitchen to your heart's content
- Send foragers out to refill the pantry cupboards or trade with Traveling Merchants for rare finds
- Prepare meals with fun and intuitive touch controls
- Control heat, seasoning, and ingredient preparation
- Discover pescatarian, vegetarian, and vegan recipes you can make at home
The game will have a "story mode" where you can "play as Scout Chef Rootsworth from Lilygrove and travel throughout the Mossflower region cooking up new and exciting dishes in hopes of being invited to cook for the illustrious Nameday Feast at Redwall Abbey!" as well as a "free play" mode where you can "experiment with making your own recipes whenever and however you please! Save your favorites and perfect your style to reach the highest ratings."
Feasts & Friends is a collaboration with Defiance Game Studio, who shared a YouTube video that discusses their development process and provides an in-depth look at the game. Watch more below.
The second game is still untitled at this time, with the final name "still being workshopped," Soma Games' Chris Skaggs tells us.

However, it's been described as "interactive fiction", and will feature three new adventures: “The Caverns of Kotir”, “The Flowers of Icetor”, and “The Wildcat Scroll”.
The Caverns of Kotir
War consumes Mossflower, but a hidden scroll may be the key to ending Queen Tsarmina’s reign of terror. Assume the role of Gillig the otter to find the scroll and defeat the foes that stand in your path.
This story will be a new take on Escape the Gloomer.
The Wildcat Scroll
A clan of wildcats is making its way to Redwall, and the rumor is they’re threatening war if their demands aren't met. You, young mouse, must take on the role of Warrior, Healer, or Scholar to unravel the truth and save Redwall from certain demise!"
The Flowers of Icetor
The dreadful Dryditch Fever has returned! The secret to the cure lies deep in the Northern Mountains, but time is running out. It’s up to you to save Mossflower Wood before all is lost!
This will be the tale of "an apprentice healer at Redwall Abbey", and is inspired by the Redwall AbbeyCraft: The Corsair's Last Treasure, a Minecraft map built by Soma approximately eight years ago for the original Kickstarter.
Skaggs tells us they're "very happy with how the art has come out," and you can take a look below.
Both games will come out on Apple iOS first, with a planned Android release to come.
