The Redwall Wiki Celebrates 20 Years!
In September 2005, Redwall fans were grabbing copies of the newly published High Rhulain and The Redwall Cookbook,
many of whom likely purchased them in-person at a U.S. store called Borders.
Only a few short weeks later, I founded the Redwall Wiki as an archival communal resource and media outlet for Redwall and Brian Jacques fans.
20 Years
Twenty years ago, there were no smartphones, no Uber, no Google Maps, social media didn't impact your day, the MCU didn't exist, and you were likely watching the latest movie on a DVD acquired at a Blockbuster, CompUSA, or maybe a Circuit City, not one of several streaming services.
The number one song was "Shake It Off" ... by Mariah Carey.
It all feels so distant. Like it happened in a time that was long ago and far away, much like the world of Redwall. Hard to believe.
Twenty years online, with consistent activity, is a milestone very few Redwall websites have celebrated. In fact, we've seen so many depart the Redwall Online Community over the years.
Today, the Redwall Wiki hosts more than 3,400 unique articles, and over the years we've brought you exclusive news, features, and interviews from those who have in some way been involved with the world of Redwall.
Our mission is to preserve and celebrate the legacy of Brian Jacques and his imaginative world, ensuring that his works and contributions to literature continue to inspire and captivate generations of readers to come.
If it's Redwall, the Redwall Wiki will be here for it.
Thank you for continuing to be a part of this journey. Break out your finest October Ale and raise a glass with us. REDWALLLLLLLL!

Netflix Animation Roundup[]
While we still don't have any updates regarding the active production of the Netflix Redwall film project, some new comments from Patrick McHale and storyboard artwork can be seen in our reporting above.
However, there is noteworthy animation news from Netflix that should be considered. The Redwall Wiki continues to be excited for a film adaptation of Redwall, regardless of how long it takes.
- Netflix's feature animation group hired Amir Nasrabadi as Chief Operating Officer in June, stating that his "focus on operational excellence will enable our teams to concentrate on storytelling and artistic innovation."
- Netflix distributed more feature animation in six months "than all of Hollywood's combined output in 2025."
- Netflix's KPop Demon Hunters, released in June, became its "most watched original animated movie of all time", achieving 26 million views in barely more than a month.
- Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos described his excitement for animation on the streamer's Q2 earnings call in July.
Have faith. And if you summit a mountain and yell "Eulalia" in your loudest badger voice, maybe we'll hear something soon. Thanks, everyone.
