== CHAPTER I == Zwan watched a long line of woodbeasts in chains go by. He wished he could help the poor beasts, but how could one river otter stand up to a horde of rats? Zwan spat as he thought of Darvorious, their leader. Hearing a branch snap, he whirled around to see a band of ratscouts. Zwan pulled his sling from his belt and prepared for the onslaught. "Don't yew try'n fight us, blubbergut." said a voice, "yer surrounded. Seeing this was true, Zwan's mind worked to find an escape route. "Ye'll die slooooow fer spyin' on us'ns" Zwan knew the rat was right.
