Official Description[]
Valo is the seventh generation in a line of stoats who have dedicated themselves to forsaking the ways of vermin and adopting the ways of the woodlanders... but it's not always easy for him. In his more youthful days, he, against his family's wishes, joined a vermin horde and served as a captain among them. He was fortunately, able to find his true self and turn his back on the evildoings of vermin. He owes much of the redemption of his soul to his close friend, Lilygrove Scout Captain Robin Springpaw, and his marriage to the love of his life.
Valo and his wife made their home in a long-abandoned moored corsair ship, known as the Winsome Wraith, and eventually were jouned by their two children, Bolo and Mila. Unfortunately, Valo's wife grew ill, and despite Valo's incredible talent for healing he could not save her. The loss of his love stole from him his joy, and he has since fallen into a deep sorrow. It is his children, now, who are his whole life.
Despite his defection from the vermin hordes seasons ago, he keeps up-to-date on all the doings in Mossflower country. Only recently has he allowed Bolo, his eldest, to sit in on the long meetings he has with woodlanders and other grey vermin to discuss current events. It is his intention to protect his family at any cost.
By temperament, Valo is studious and serious. While there exists in him a streak for joy and merriment, it is a rare, but beautiful, sight. A part of him worries that breaking discipline, even for the sake of happiness, may present an open door to backsliding.
