Welko was a male shrew member of the Guosim. He was the son of the Log-a-Log and the brother of Plogg.
He accompanied Martin II, Clecky, Grath Longfletch, and Viola Bankvole aboard the Freebeast to the isle of Sampetra to rescue Abbot Durral.
Welko and Viola were responsible for burning the corsairs ships in the Sampetra harbor.
