Windpaw was a female hare resident of Salamandastron. She was a healer and didn't directly take part in battles. Windpaw cared deeply for Mara like a surrogate mother. She met Mara, Pikkle, Klitch, and Goffa when the young ones were coming back to the mountain. As she hurried towards the crater with fire arrows, she was killed by Farran the Poisoner, who stabbed her in the neck.
